How do you price your goods?

By designing our own collections and selling exclusively online, we eliminate typical industry markups. Given the time and materials that go into crafting our pieces, we put our pricing as affordable as possible and make sure our artisans are paid fairly and we are able to cover our operating costs.  

Where are you based?

We are based in Bali. Our office is really everywhere or in another word virtual. The founder would go from place to place to search for goods. We are either in Bali or Yunnan or anywhere you would ever imagine. Drop us an email for collaboration help@the-katha.com
 
Our main workshop is in Bali where some of our goods are produced or photographed.

Are artisans paid fairly?

We vouched to transform local artisanal goods made in fair trade standards for your modern home. We ensure that our partnered artisans are committed to at least one positive impact in their surroundings.

Enjoy free shipping on orders above $60 within the U.S and Canada
For orders below $60 US, it's $10 flat rate fee.
 
Please note that we do not ship on saturdays,sundays and national holidays. Order placed on weekends will be shipped on weekdays.
 

How do you ship your items?

All orders will be processed within three business days.
You'll receive your order for in stock items in 15 business days if you opt for regular shipping by EMS, or 5-7 business days if you opt for premium shipping by DHL.

Where do you ship your goods from?

Our warehouses are located in multiple countries: United States and Indonesia. Why so many? Our products are procured from different artisans from parts of the world, for instance most of our Java collections are made by Javanese artisans spread across Java Island in Indonesia. We will therefore collect the goods and ship them to you.
 

What about tax and customs?

Shipping within the U.S is tax-free, however items shipped from other overseas to U.S or other destinations might incur tax.

RETURN AND EXCHANGE

How do I return unwanted items?

Returns are easy and hassle-free for most of our items within 14 days of delivery. Please note that shipping cost would be borne by buyers.
Selected large rugs, furniture and mirrors are final sale.
 
Sale items are final.
Things to keep in mind to receive a full refund:
All products must be returned in new, undamaged condition in original protective packaging.
Bedding and towels must be unused, unwashed, and in original packaging. Otherwise, we will send back in lieu of a refund.

How do I exchange items?

All of our products are made in small batches, so to make sure the item you’d like to purchase is in stock, we recommend that you place your order before you return your original purchase. Then just follow our quick return process and you’ll be set.

What if I receive defect items?

Please note if you receive damaged items please email us within 48 hours. Take a clear picture of the damage. We'll process your order immediately.
